Redo

Well, I wrote an entire blog post and then because I'm a MASTER of DIVINITY and not technology, I deleted the post.  So let me highlight what I wrote:

These pictures were taken at Lake Ray Hubbard when we went to do Tuesday night trivia at the Flying Saucer.
I graduated Saturday and I can't wait to show you pictures.
I'm pretty sure this dress is from the 90's cause it is so 90's.

That's all.

Layered

Wow, if there's one thing I learned in this post, it's that I need to cut my hair and wearing a dress underneath long skirt is impractical in this warm season.  That's right.  Summer is readily upon us and wearing black, which really is such a safe choice for me, is just torturous. Wearing two articles of black clothing makes the sweating even worse.  As soon as we finished taking these pictures, I changed into shorts and a t-shirt to cool off.
Enough about my sweat.  My husband is the best for taking pictures of me and dealing with my weird nose scrunches and fake smiles.  Love that man.

I am SO excited for this weekend.  Lots of family time, good eating and celebration!
I'm so excited I'm afraid I won't be able to sleep tonight!
AHHHH!

Chambray & Mustard

I hate that my habit is to go weeks without posting anything, but it has been quite the busy two weeks.

In this two weeks I have:

Finished my graduate degree
Received a promotion at my job &
Celebrated my brother's wedding

In other words, it's been an amazing past two weeks.  I'm overwhelmed with all the love in my life.  All of events surrounding my brother's wedding allowed me to see my family and my in-laws more than I would normally and it has reminded me how much I have to cherish my time with them.

Next Saturday, I'll be graduating with my Master's of Divinity and I could NOT be more excited.  These four years in Dallas really have flown by.  So you can imagine I'm super sentimental right now.  I literally cried watching The Office last night.  I understand that this is how life goes.  We go in and out of seasons but I'm blessed to be able to stay in my current work place. So it feels like I'll finally be able to fully my time and effort into my work place.

All that to say, I've missed being in the blogging world but I've loved being in the real world.  Hopefully I can master the two soon...

This mustard skirt is one of my favorites.  I've worn this outfit quite a few times and it just doesn't get old for me.

P.S. This article has officially ruined me, but we can talk about that in another post.

Fancy Pants

Crazy wind hair...

This guy...

My awkward poses seem to be making a comeback.  Oh well, at least we look fancy.

We had a special lunch where we recognized our graduating seniors so today was a fancier Sunday than usual.  Of course, now I'm sitting on the couch blogging in shorts and a t-shirt, while watching the Rangers game.  Aren't Sunday afternoons the best?

Indeed, they are.

Greenery

The husband did a perfect job with my birthday present...as seen below.

So check it, my computer's about to die and I don't know where my charger is so let's keep this short and sweet.

This is my outfit of SUNday.

Get it? Instead of outfit of THE day, I said outfit of SUNday.

Oh Navy

This was my casual Thursday outfit.  I work late on Wednesday's so it's harder for me to take the time to really think through a cute outfit for Wednesday when I'm pretty exhausted from the day before.

This Zara top was only $3.99 at St. Vincent de Paul and I got it on a trip when I had received a 40% entire purchase for being a loyalty card owner.  So it came out to more like $2.59.  I love discounts on top of already low priced clothing.

Speaking of, these jeans were bought at Old Navy for only $20 when I convinced my husband we both needed new jeans.  Every time I've tried any of the Old Navy's Rock Star jeans, I not only felt like a heifer, because I had to try them on two sizes higher than I normally would and even then, they were ill-fitting.  So on a whim, I tried on the regular Rock Star Jeans and loved them.  So I bought two different pairs and for being not that into jeans, I really love them.

Happy Sunday!
