Floralriffic

This outfit was worn sometime this past week and I only wore it about half the day because we played ultimate frisbee in the evening and I was wearing a VBS t-shirt in the morning.  However, I was quite confident in this outfit for the five-ish hours I was wearing it.  There's something about teal and pink color combination that makes me feel all sorts of girly and pretty.

Oh pastels, colored jeans and floral, what would I do without you? Seriously, I like when I'm actually on board with trends cause it's like cute stuff is coming out of the wood works.  The tree in fron t of my house even cooperated by blooming some flowers. Thanks tree!

Well our weekend pretty much flew by.  We definitely hit up the midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises on Thursday and had dinner with friends Friday.  Saturday was pretty much the best because I went thrifting with a few friends and then came back to my house to jam some music living room style.  We literally sat in the room and played guitar, sang- we even accordioned it up (that's an verb in my book.)  We went to dinner with friends and then came home and played Guitar Hero- yes, you read correctly.  We relived Guitar Hero madness last night.  It was quite the perfect weekend.

I am looking forward to this week because things should (hopefully) settle down a bit and (hopefully) I'll get into a better routine.  I forgot to mention in my last post how grateful I was for the sweet comments on the Boat post.  I'm seriously missing my sisters' photography skills! Hope all is well in your world!

Denim and Floral

Just a quick update this week.  Work has been super busy and I've had family in town so the Internet and I haven't had a whole lot of time to bond, but I took these pictures on Saturday because I just could not wait to wear my denim vest.

I went to the mall that day hoping to get some 40% off bras at American Eagle only to find out that the ghetto mall by my house doesn't have an American Eagle Aerie section.  Despite this unfortunate discovery, I was able to buy a plain white tee (I won't even make the joke) to paint my new sailboat stencils onto. I also ran into Wet Seal and their manager said, "CUTE OUTFIT! Do you know how many girls come in every day asking if we have denim vests?"  I said, "Oh wow, I actually got this at the thrift store for $2.99." (I really need to stop saying stuff like that cause people never know how to respond.) But she said, "Well, I'd watch out.  I'm serious girls will want that vest." And for a moment I felt like I was about to find out what it was like to get jumped for a denim vest.

But, alas, I did not get jumped and my denim vest and I came home safely.

Hope you're having a great week!

Sharks!

I know this picture of my car isn't what you were looking for...but that's what you get when I'm rushing to get a few decent pictures.

This outfit was worn Monday when I realized that I really am obsessed with colored jeans.  I blame all those people who gave away their sweet, colored jeans to the thrift store.

I also love mixing patterns, if you can't tell.

Ok, that's all for now.

Oh and YES I'm absolutely bummed that I'm not going to be at TxSC, but I got a sweet gal to take my ticket and I know I'll have another shot at going next year.  Oh well, tis' life.
